The same production KPI appears in the morning meeting, the monthly report, Excel, Power BI and the ERP system.
But the numbers are not always the same!
This is rarely just a visualisation problem. It usually begins much earlier. The KPI has been recreated in several places, using slightly different source data, time boundaries, correction rules, exclusions or unit conversions.
Each version may be reasonable in isolation. The problem becomes visible when they are compared. Time is then spent discussing which number is correct, rather than what the number tells us about the operation.
A more reliable approach is to govern the definition and calculation independently of the systems presenting the result.
